Since I joined the university, I have always had tremendous performance in my academic work and also volunteered to be part of several mentorship programmes.
Not that am extremely talented and instead, it is the fruits of my hard work that has led to my success. That�s the main reason for my success. My name is Nicholas Emiliano and I have always had an interest in being part of the medical field. I am currently a student at Northwest University completing a bachelor�s degree in information technology and preparing to relocate to a John Hopkins School of health and biological sciences to become a pediatrician. I believe this program will provide me with valued skills and abilities which cannot be offered in class. One of the things that appeal most to my life is dedicating me in improving other people's life.
My main goal is to work at John Hopkins hospital as a pediatrician. I want to experience and learn a variety of diagnosis in order to help children as well as comforting them. I also want to work with other medical professionals from different parts of the world in order to learn and gain a variety of skills from them which would help the entire of my career. I am also ready to dedicate myself in becoming the best pediatrician I can. At the same time, I also want to be confident in my skills and abilities to help children. Besides, I want to be a person of assurance for patients and most significantly to support and advocate for the health and well �being of the sick children even during the time when they cannot do it for themselves.
Becoming a pediatrician is not a career of choice for me and instead, it's a calling. I had a dreadful experience where my little brother once developed a head trauma and has to undergo surgery. This led him in spending quite some days in the hospital. And as a family, we could often pay a visit to him to show love for one and our own and also monitor his condition progress. During the visits, this is when I came into contact with several pediatricians performing a variety of procedures including; examination, performing diagnostic testing, interpreting test results as well as dealing with emergencies. This is actually where my first inspiration of becoming a pediatrician came from. I, therefore, got captivated with the world of medicine and particularly the art of pediatric. To say that I spent some time in the hospital as a result of my little brother's sickness is somewhat a bit sarcastic. From my inquisitiveness, a calling in a little while became clear to me!
